The Power of Vision Boards

January 2024

I had a super productive and energised January, I delivered 2 amazing Vision Board Workshops: one to Google employees at their offices in London, and another one for which I sold tickets & was open for anyone @LW Theatres Boardroom (check out my reel from my Instagram feed).

Both workshops were filled with such incredible ENERGY

So many different, yet equally creative and wonderful visions came to life - and it was truly incredible to be part of it!!

I also delivered 3 private Vision Board Workshop sessions for my 1:1 Coaching Clients which were more intimate, even more reflective and very goal focussed.

If you haven’t made one before then you are probably asking yourself what all the fuss is about - read on for more!

Why are Vision Boards SO Powerful?

  • Visualisation has been demonstrated to improve music ability, athletic performance, self-confidence, mental health, and even physical strength.

  • Neuro science research shows that your brain doesn't know your visualisation isn’t reality, with regular visualisation your subconscious seeks out opportunities in line with your vision and filters out those that aren’t.

  • Visualisation sculpts pathways in the brain and they adapt over time which creates brain changes, making you better at what you imagine.

  • It’s why top athletes run the race in their mind first.

Can you imagine facing challenges without being surprised? Well, visualisation helps you stay calm and composed. Don’t believe me? Try it!

If you missed my workshops but still want to craft a Vision Board then follow my guide below and answer these questions:

1. What were you proud of in 2023? big or small - anything that you did which made you proud.

Little habits or big one off achievements, both carry equal weight.

2. What challenges did you navigate? What obstacles did you overcome and how?

3. What did you learn from the above lists? Any themes? Any items fall on both achievements and the challenges list?

Now visualise 2024 - until 31 December. Think about how you want it to look and feel - think about your priorities and values. Write down whatever comes to mind. Think about how you want to be spending your: time, money & energy. Jot it all down.

Then when you are ready - get crafting! There is no right or wrong way - cut out any pictures/phrases that leap out at you, stick on the board anything that represents to you how you want to feel in 2024 and how you want it to look.

If you have any SMARTE goals for 2024 write them down too. The idea is that the vision board is kept somewhere you will see it daily or weekly, and it will help you make decisions by reminding you of how you want the year to look and what you are aiming for.
